Amanda Maw

Amanda is a Follow Through at heart! She is the perfect partner for entrepreneurs since she can provide a stable organized platform for the visionary and expansionary zeal of the Quick Starts surrounding her. While Blackbird was first being launched, Amanda helped launch one of the top pizza restaurants in the Valley of the Sun. The Pizza Parlor is the brainchild of her friend Eric featuring sustainable eco design elements as creative as the menu of this restaurant that was a famous hair parlor in the mid 1900's. Opening as the recession was making itself known, this restaurant has made a mark on the metropolis with exceptional fare at reasonable prices. It's always busy at The Parlor. And so Amanda takes care of Eric's customers with superb customer relations, and of late has created a system for Blackbird's extensive seed pack production, thereby also taking care of Blackbird's customers. She'll continue to expand operations with each new production launch for Blackbird. We're so happy to have the whole family involved!

What inspired you, Amanda?

"The tag line for Blackbird is "Food That Sings" inspired by Alexandra's love for the guitar and The Beatles. I have always enjoyed music having played the piano as a child and then a few years ago I started writing my first song and singing. Recently, I met a record producer and song writer who mentored me to my first recording. It has been very exciting and a bit nerve wracking. With what my family and I have recently experienced, I've decided that there is no room left in our lives for fear and inhibition to stand in the way of our authentic and creative self expression! So I'm going to keep singing my song!"
